The third foursome – the stage of perishing
Sagittarius
Now the focus is on the future. The new seeds are ripening within the ovary. The latter swells up in order to provide a nutrient medium for the new seeds. In the drawing above, this is indicated by an apple.
As the third Fire Sign, Sagittarius has an inspiring influence. In the outward focus of Sagittarius’s ripening seed, we can recognize the following characteristics: the future and its preparation, cultivating, healing and restoring, growth, education, motivation and enthusiasm, teacher and advisor, making plans, looking across the (country) border, momentum and impatience, broad outlines and vision, the goal-oriented strategist.
Instead of the unfocused, all-including curiosity of Gemini, we now encounter Sagittarius' personal conviction. It is in Sagittarius’ nature to be believed. Yet this can also make him intolerant and motivate him to persecute others for their beliefs.
Capricorn
In the winter, the plant's leaves have fallen off. Its silhouette now reveals the structure of its skeleton. Around the ripened seed, the apple dries out and shrinks.
As the third Earth Sign, Capricorn once more experiences himself as working in commission. In his inward focus, we can recognize the following characteristics: drying up and hardening, being free from moisture and emotion, impersonal actions, structure and legislation, duty and responsibility, achieving tangible results, completing and finishing off, ambition and the peak of one’s career.
Instead of the emotionality and personal sensitivity of Cancer, we now encounter Capricorn's lack of emotions. Instead of Cancer’s family of origin, we find Capricorn’s prestige.
Aquarius
The dried-up ovary now bursts open and releases its seeds, which spread in all directions.
As the third Air Sign, Aquarius is again focused on human relationships. In its outward focus, we can recognize the following characteristics, all pertaining to dissemination:
decentralization, transgressing borders, brotherhood, democracy, humanism, globalization. Leo's individuality expresses itself in Aquarius through the many.
Pisces
Finally, the plant has fulfilled its function and dies.
Pisces is the third Water Sign. In its inward focus, we can recognize the following core concepts: letting go and renouncing, to die off and wither, liquidate, liquify and eliminate in a literal sense, sacrificing and sublimating, abstracting, forgetting, losing oneself in something or drowning in it, going down the drain.
In contrast to the pragmatic attitude of Virgo, Pisces experiences the concrete world as a hindrance merely standing in the way of the underlying truth.
Defined and intentional
In this last group of four Signs, their influence is delimited to a particular area and also focused on a specific goal. Intention and result become manifest.
